He was backed by his band, featuring Johnny Griparic on bass, Teddy Andreadis on keyboards, and Michael Leasure on drums. Further guests on "Ordinary Madness" include Trout's son Jon, singer Teeny Tucker, Anthony Grisham (guitar), Skip Edwards (steel guitar), and Drake Shining (keyboards). The song "Wanna Dance" offered the first taste of the new album.
