LP Record Motörhead is an album by the British heavy metal band Motörhead, released in 1977. The album was the band's first release on Chiswick Records and was produced by former Hawkwind bassist Lemmy Kilmister and guitarist "Fast" Eddie Clarke. It was recorded over two days at Roundhouse Studios in London. The album was a critical and commercial success, reaching number 24 on the UK Albums Chart. It was certified gold by the British Phonographic Industry for sales of over 100000 copies. The album's title track, "Motörhead", was released as a single and reached number 15 on the UK Singles Chart. Motörhead was praised by critics for its aggressive and energetic sound.
