The game is divided into a day and night cycle, which are fundamentally different from each other. During the day, snipers control the streets, so you can't leave your shelter. You must use this time to maintain your shelter, craft items and care for the other survivors. Once night falls, the danger changes and you can send one of your civilians on a mission to find items for survival. Every expedition is risky, but necessary to get food, medicine and materials.
Life-or-Death Decisions
This War of Mine constantly presents you with difficult choices. You will have to decide who in your group to sacrifice to save the others, or whether to help strangers in need at your own risk. Every decision has an impact on the psyche and fate of the characters. This atmosphere is enhanced by the fact that the game is inspired by real war events and the experiences of civilians from conflict zones. It's not just about survival, but also about preserving humanity.
An Atmosphere Enhanced by an Artistic Style
The overall bleak atmosphere of the game is complemented by its visual design. The graphics, in the style of a charcoal drawing, underline the gloom and hopelessness of the situation in which the civilians find themselves. The audio is in English, while the text can be read in several world languages, including English, German, Polish or Russian. This allows you to fully immerse yourself in the story that the game tells without compromise.
The purchased product key must be activated in Steam:
1) Go to https://store.steampowered.com/ and click on the green button that says "Install Steam".
2) Install and run the Steam client and log in with your existing account or create a new one.
3) Click "Add Game" at the bottom left corner of the screen and then select "Activate a Product on Steam"
4) The "Product Activation" window will pop up. Follow the onscreen instructions and enter your purchased code.
5) Once the activation is complete, you can find the new game in your "Library" tab.
6) Press the blue "Install" button to install the game.
