Luminous Flux

Luminous flux expresses the amount of light that comes from the source and is measured in lumens. Different wavelengths of light and the sensitivities of the human eye are taken into account. Simply put, more lumens means brighter light and less lumens means dimmer light from your lightbulb.

Energy class

Energy class of an appliance determines the amount of energy consumed by the electric appliance used within the European Union. Energy classes are defined by the EU and individual members of countries incorporate them into their legislation. From September 21, 2021, a new energy class ranging from A to G is applicable.

Base

Bases are the part of lamp bulbs allowing the mechanical fixing and electrical connection with the light source. Based on the type of attachment, there are screw, bayonet, and bi-pin bases, all of which are available in various sizes. Different base types are not compatible with each other.

Chromaticity

Colour temperature (also chromaticity) characterises the spectrum of white light (kelvin - K). Depending on the value, we perceive the colour of the light as "warm white" (about 3000K) up to "cool white" (about 6000K).

Determines how many light sources are included in the package.

Service life

The length of time (according to the manufacturer) the lightbulb will shine, under the ideal conditions. This value is also affected by how many times it is turned on – frequent switching on and off reduces the lifetime.
