In most civilised countries the driver is mandated by law to ensure safe transportation of any animals in his car. If you have a pet or pets that occasionally share your car, your car needs to be equipped accordingly. So what accessories are there to keep both you and your pets safe?

Common law requirements:

  • Transported persons, animals, and cargo must be kept safe during transport.
  • Transported animals must be secured and pose no risk to passengers or the driver.

Car travel accessories

  • Luggage compartment pet barrier - serves to separate the luggage compartment from the passenger compartment and ensures safe transportation of animals, especially medium and large dog breeds.
  • Back seat cover - protects the interior from dirt, makes animals feel more comfortable, and can be washed. A car seat cover is enough for short-distance trips, but be careful. A strong impact can launch the animal from the back seat and straight into the windshield.
  • Car seat padding - supplement the car seat cover and straps to minimise the risk of the animal falling from the seat.
