Clinique today
Clinique employees are specially selected based on their knowledge in the field of cosmetics and dermatology. Clinique employs leading skin experts, and the results of their research are combined with the most modern scientific techniques to develop outstanding cosmetics and skincare products. Clinique has laboratories around the world that develop new active substances using locally sourced ingredients.
Brand history
In 1968, a famous Vogue magazine article titled "Can great skin be created?" was published. The authors of the article were the fashion and beauty editor Carol Phillips and famous New York dermatologist Dr Norman Orentreich, who is known as a piorneer in the field of hair transplants and dermatological treatments.
The article dealt with the importance of high-quality cosmetics that can effectively combat skin damage, and aimed to encourage readers to take better care of their skin. Dr Orentreich argued that cosmetics should be combined with modern medicine to create products that both beautify and protect skin against imperfections.
The article was read by Estee Lauder, who soon founded the company together with Dr Orenstrichem and Carol Philips.
