DVD Film - DVD film Volga [2023]. Czech series. 2 discs. Dolby Digital. Standa Pekárek has three wishes in his life: driving the Volga, driving for the Humor and Folk Entertainment editorial staff, and driving the Gothamist. The five-part miniseries Volga is an adaptation of Karel Hynia's novel of the same name, written in an extraordinary, bizarre and precisely eavesdropped language. It can be perceived as a peculiar history of Czechoslovak television with a number of unbelievable, though real, "stories from filming". At the same time, however, it is a portrait of its protagonist - a limited egocentric who excels in devising small tricks and tricks - how to steal petrol, fake mileage, cheat his wife, get rid of the competition. Logically, he also becomes a StB collaborator (with the code name Volha) who informs on all his colleagues and passengers without any remorse.
DVD Film - Four generations under one roof, that doesn't bode well. Especially since the Hanaks aren't exactly normal. Grandma writes mystery novels that are never published, mummy Cilka loves opera arias and daddy Oldrich is only interested in the turtles Poldinky. Their daughter Pavla is a passionate yoga practitioner, while her husband Petr likes to read the newspaper, eat or sleep. The youngest members of the family, whom no one calls anything but scoundrels, delight in inventing mischief. And Káča, the younger daughter of Cilka and Oldřich, is about to introduce them to her future husband Zdeněk.... There's no shortage of surprises in this family.
DVD Film - A great fairy tale with nice songs that literally became a hit! "Goldilocks", based on Erben's novel, already shone on the TV screen when it premiered and its repetition is always a success. It is no wonder that the writer and director Vlasta Janečková managed to tell the story of Jiřík and the golden-haired princess so impressively. The main roles were played by excellent actors - Jorga Kotrbová, Petr Štěpánek and Jiří Holý. And composer Angelo Mikhailov and lyricist Eduard Krečmar created real fairy-tale hits.

In a South Bohemian village, amidst silver ponds and dark forests, lives a handsome young man, Henry, who one day sets out into the world with a firm resolve to rescue an enchanted princess. On his way he comes to a mill where the beautiful Eliška lives with her miller father. The young man likes Eliza, so she tells him that there is a princess cursed in the pond and he stays in the mill as a helper. The local devil and the waterman, who think of the miller's daughter, don't like that. They try as hard as they can to use magic and intrigue to drive the young Henry out of the mill.
