In January 1879, the British launched a war against the Zulu Kingdom, an indigenous state in South Africa. With a well-trained and modern army of 1,350 soldiers, they expect an easy victory. However, a bloody conflict ensues, in which the British are overrun by an army of four thousand Zulus and almost completely slaughtered. After this victory, the Zulu warriors are about to attack the small outpost of Rorke's Drift, where 150 members of the British army are defending a large amount of supplies.
