You can play Batman games on PC, PlayStation or Xbox. There are several chapters that build on each other in a similar way to the Assassin's Creed series. To help you enjoy the story one step at a time, we've put them into order:

Play Batman: Arkham Origins first to see where the story started.
Batman: Arkham Asylum is the second game.
Events of the next follow-up title, Batman: Arkham City, take place a year after the plot of Arkham Asylum
The second one-year timeskip brings us to Batman: Arkham Knight.
The last episode is Batman: Return to Arkham.
