Brotherhood - Outcasts
The audiobook Brotherband – The Outcasts, from the author of Ranger's Apprentice, takes you into another fantasy world full of adventure in the first story of a new series. Written by John Flanagan. Narrated by Pavel Neškudla.
Brotherband – Book One
In Skandia, there's only one way to become a warrior. Boys are selected into groups called brotherbands and must undergo three months of training in seamanship, weapons, and battle tactics. Brotherband against brotherband, they compete in a series of tasks. There can be only one winner.
When Hal Mikkelson, the son of a Skandian father and an Araluen mother, becomes the reluctant leader of a brotherband of outcasts, he must rise to the challenge as best he can. While the Heron brotherband may not match the other two groups in strength or numbers, its members might just surprise everyone with their ingenuity, wit, and courage.
JOHN FLANAGAN
The Australian author first worked as an advertising copywriter and later as a freelance editor. He also wrote scripts for television comedies. The fantasy world that readers all over the globe now enter was originally created for his son, whom he wanted to introduce to reading in an entertaining way. Today, he is one of Australia's most prolific novelists, and his highly successful works include the fantasy series Ranger's Apprentice.
