DVD Film - Historical film about battles with barbarians. Year 1010, Kievan Rus. Kievan Rus consists of many smaller principalities ruled by the sons of Grand Duke Vladimir of Kiev. But marauding bands are plundering Russian lands and enslaving thousands of people. In the northeast of the empire lies the most distant principality - Rostov. Young Prince Jaroslav is put in charge of this when he is only 11 years old. As Jaroslav grows, he gradually consolidates his power. He decides to build a fortress on the Volga to stop the raiders. He tries to unite the surrounding tribes, but is captured by the pagan tribe of "Bears".
