The Book of Sheen
For any avid readers of memoirs by Matthew Perry, Tom Felton or Matthew McConaughey
The most anticipated memoir of the year from the man with a reputation as Hollywood's biggest troublemaker and black sheep.
The star of comedy hits Hot Shots and Two and a Half Men is finally telling his story - and he's not kidding.
The book contains dozens of previously unpublished photographs from the author's personal archive.
"For too long, my stories have been told by others with their eyes and words. I think you'll agree that it's time to finally hear these stories from the protagonist himself."
It may well be that of all the bad guys and black sheep Hollywood has seen in its history, Charlie Sheen is perhaps the worst. But now he has been abstinent for eight years and for the first time he has decided to tell his story in his own words - the author of this book is himself. He writes about everything, since I was a kid, he spent with his father Martin Sheen on various shoots, through adolescence, during which he and the Penn brothers made their own films at home, first glory, who came up with the roles in the films Platoon, Wall Street and Ferris Bueller's Day Off, his breakthrough role in All the Mayor's Men, to a highly controversial period, when he was trying to deal with the chaos of divorce and drugs while filming Two and a Half Men. By any conceivable standard, Charlie Sheen should have been alive long ago to tell these stories.
Sheen's book is an honest (and very funny) memoir dealing with the mistakes people make in life and the demons they can't get rid of. It is an honest portrait of the complicated, controversial and unique Charlie Sheen.
