Ryzen 7 in action
The Ryzen 7 1800X model is historically the most powerful AMD processor ever made. Its enormous performance is provided by 8 cores in total, with the base clock frequency set at an impressive 3.6GHz. Under load, the frequency automatically rises to up to 4GHz. This gives you enough power to explore virtual reality or play games in 4K.
Impressive performance in all aspects
The Zen architecture represents a significant step forward for the entire computer segment, as AMD has achieved something remarkable—at the same clock speed, the Ryzen processors provide an incredible 52% performance boost compared to the previous generation. This is partially due to the MultiThreading technology, which ensures smooth processing of up to sixteen threads simultaneously. The icing on the cake is the processor’s unlocked multiplier for extra easy overclocking, given the computer has a high-quality cooling system.
Get ready for a big upgrade
The AMD Ryzen processors require the brand new AM4 socket to work—the differences in architecture are simply too large. However, the new motherboards also provide a whole range of exciting modern technologies, such as USB 3.1 (USB-C), PCIe 3.0, NVMe, 32Gb/s M.2 slots, SATA Express; some models even feature multiple graphics card support in CrossFire mode. In most cases, you should also get ready to invest in fast DDR4 modules to make sure you have enough memory.
