Its main task is to suck up fine dust. The special Aero Vac filter provides thorough air filtration.

The Roomba 616 robotic vacuum cleaner offers everything you need for high-quality cleaning. Its perfect iAdapt navigation, unsurpassed three-stage cleaning system and large dustbin provide exactly what you need for a perfectly clean floor every day. Let the Roomba 616 take care of the vacuuming to free up your time for other things.

The iAdapt Navigation system ensures that your home is cleaned perfectly. The Roomba uses dozens of sensors to monitor the room and intelligently reacts to the shape and size of it with 40 predefined movements. The navigation system guides the robot around the room, along the walls, around the furniture, and underneath it to ensure perfect cleaning results.
The Roomba robotic vacuum cleaner delivers cleaning of unbeatable quality based on a highly functional 3-stage cleaning system. With this system, the Roomba removes dirt from every corner of the room and collects it into a large dustbin, whether it is cleaning hard floors or carpets.
The side brush effectively removes dirt around the furniture, along the walls, in the corners, and in other less accessible places.
The vacuum cleaner is also equipped with rotating brushes located within the cleaning head. This allows for excellent capturing of dust and larger dirt into the large dust container.

The Roomba has a high-capacity AeroVac dust container which captures the finest dust particles by using a microfibre filter.
This feature provides a thorough cleaning of a specific area of 1m2, which makes it perfect for cleaning spilled sugar, salt, and other small kitchen accidents.

The special slow-contact bumper is gentle to your furniture. It recognizes apparent obstacles (e.g. curtains), allowing the robot to clean up even in places which the sensors would normally evaluate as off-limits.

A charging station is used to recharge the battery. The Roomba 616 is always ready when you need it and starts to clean with a simple touch of the CLEAN button. When it's done cleaning, it automatically returns to the charging station and starts recharging.
You will certainly appreciate the practical ANTITANGLE feature, which prevents the Roomba from tangling and getting caught in cables or carpet fringes. When the brushes sense resistance, their rotation is automatically reversed. This enables the robot to quickly evade obstruction and continue cleaning

Roomba's movement can be controlled by a virtual wall. The virtual wall creates an invisible barrier that the robot cannot go through. You can use it if you want to keep your robot within a certain space, or if you want to keep it away from electrical or computer cables or fragile items. Some of the virtual walls also feature the Halo function, which creates a protective field around the wall. The Roomba will not disturb the defined space, which is good for cleaning around pet bowls, for example.
The sensors at the bottom of the vacuum cleaner detect free space under the robot. This keeps it from falling down the stairs and from other elevated areas. The Roomba simply stops, turns around, and continues to clean on solid ground.

iRobot originated from the conviction of three founders (Colin Angle, Helen Greiner and Rodney Brooks) that robotics will once again change the world and the way we work, learn, cure diseases, or clean. During the first year of its existence, iRobot introduced the space exploration robot, Genghis, in collaboration with NASA. The big breakthrough came in 1998, when iRobot won a DARPA contract to develop and manufacture tactical mobile robots named iRobot PackBot. These versatile robots were deployed by the US government during the rescue work after terrorist attacks on the World Trade Centre in 2001. PackBot also mapped the contaminated spaces after the Japanese Fukushima power plant disaster in 2011.
