Dobrý den, plánuje se vydat audioknížka Křížové palby?
The police are supposed to help people. That's about the worst advice you can take as a cop. Because if you try to do something for someone on the side, the shortcuts between bureaucratic regulations and paragraphs will quickly lead you to the uncertain ground of questionable deeds and dubious favours. And before you know it, you realise that people are disappearing around you and that someone is probably killing them - and that you fit the role of the prime suspect.
And suddenly you're up to your neck in a stinking swamp of bad decisions, with banging, shooting and slashing fingers all around you, and you're just treading murky water, fighting for survival, with threats whizzing past your ears from all directions. And very few come out of the crossfire unscathed.

I expected Crossfire to be good, but it is even better. A perfect Czech detective story that does not drown in opinionated affectations, sadistic projections or plot banality. Right from the beginning, Štěpán Kopřiva plays out the crime, whose subsequent development slowly unravels until it finally escalates in an adrenaline-fuelled finale, where one does not doubt for a second the well-measured exaggeration with a cruel subtext.

. that's what I call a proper whodunit. You read and it doesn't matter that you haven't had dinner yet and breakfast is far away, you just have to finish it. I haven't had goosebumps reading it in a long time, could it be the night? And that I could even laugh among the goosebumps, tension and a bit of torture? Well, yes. This just seems to fit me.
