In 1946, Branch Rickey (Harrison Ford), owner of the Brooklyn Dodgers baseball team, took a stand against racial segregation in Major League Baseball by signing Jackie Robinson (Chadwick Boseman). The move made both men a target for the public, the press, and even other players. Robinson faced blatant racism from all sides, but with immense courage and talent, he gradually won over fans and teammates, silenced his critics, and forever changed the world by changing the game of baseball.
