Alpine stories
Nineteen stories from a high-altitude valley in the Italian Alps map the life and customs of mountaineers from ancient times to the present day. They are told to children in a family environment, with the epicenter of the story being the former Oriental inn in Campodolcino. The stories draw on local rumors and legends, are slightly spooky, slightly adventurous, and fairy-tale. They are supplemented with short descriptions of places, including contemporary realities, customs and traditions. The subject thus appeals to a wide range of readers who have a connection to mountains and old stories.
