At the king's command.
By the King's Command
Ondřej of Rohatec has finally managed to escape the traps set for him by Chval of Valdéř, the burgrave of Křivoklát, who wanted to deprive him of Jenčov Castle, its rich iron ore deposits, and its ironworks and hammer mills. Chval was always a man of John of Luxembourg, while Ondřej was a vassal of Margrave Charles. The relationship between the two Luxembourgs was always complicated, and although King John eventually recognised that Ondřej was in the right and acknowledged and confirmed the deed of gift for Jenčov, issued by his son Charles, with his own signature and seal, he could not simply back down without losing face. And so, he set a condition for Ondřej: if summoned, he would have to participate in three of the king's military campaigns. The year is 1341, and the king has less than five years to live. Will the king forget this petty condition, or will Ondřej be called upon to follow him into battle?
