Some people have an amazing ability to solve even the biggest problems. Eddie Mannix is the very prototype of such a man, and his stomping ground is Hollywood film studios.
Eddie's (Josh Brolin) day as a “problem fixer” starts early with a risky mission to save the reputation of a young starlet who is on the verge of falling into moral disrepute and the clutches of the police. Immediately after, he has to appease furious religious leaders who are incensed by the script for an upcoming biblical epic. He has to force a star cowboy actor, who's great with a lasso but can't act, into the lead role of a sophisticated drama for its director (Ralph Fiennes). And that's not all. Star swimmer Anna (Scarlett Johansson) is also causing him problems with her delicate personal troubles, and famous dancer Burt (Channing Tatum) has suddenly started acting strangely. And that's still not everything. His biggest headache is superstar Baird Whitlock (George Clooney), who has been kidnapped mid-shoot of the epic film Hail, Caesar! by an unknown organisation calling itself The Future. But for the seasoned Eddie, no crisis is too big; it's simply a challenge.
