The second book in the popular LitRPG series Perimeter Defence
In the real world, Ruslan is a brilliant player of space strategy games. In the digital one, he is Georg royl Inoky ton Mesfelle, Crown Prince of the Empire and a prominent member of the House of Orange. Some time ago, Ruslan accepted an offer from a mysterious stranger, Mr G. I., to become his replacement in the game Perimeter Defence. This is a prestigious affair for a small circle of rich, chosen individuals, and Mr G. I. was doing very poorly in it.
The same cannot be said for the performance of Ruslan/Georg, who, thanks to his skills as a genius strategist and deft diplomat, is becoming an extraordinarily successful game character. And success is not forgiven, even in the gaming world, so in addition to battling hordes of Xenos, hostile aliens, Prince Georg must face the intrigues of Duke Paolo, head of the House of Orange. He is playing a dangerous game on two fronts. He faces a clash with the Xeno aggressors and a final battle against the vastly outnumbered fleet of Duke Paolo.
A single defeat would mean the end of Ruslan's gaming career. Or even his real life? Ruslan is still searching for the answer to this question – is he a player or a direct participant in real events...?
