As part of a major catalogue campaign, all of Kate Bush's studio albums are being remastered for the first time and re-released in new sound form on CD and LP. In addition, a number of rarities, previously unreleased recordings are available. The albums are released in four vinyl boxes, two CD boxes and individually in two waves.
Kate Bush is one of the most remarkable women in music history. In 1978, when she was nineteen, she occupied the top of the singles chart in England for four weeks with her debut single Wuthering Heights. Never before has a female singer who wrote a song written by herself taken the top spot. Two years later, she conquered the island's album chart with Never For Ever, becoming the first British solo artist to do so. She has been nominated thirteen times for the annual Brit Awards, winning the statuette in 1987. She has been on the Grammy nomination list three times, and received the prestigious Ivor Novello Award for songwriters. The talented singer was discovered by family friend David Gilmour of Pink Floyd. Impressed by her amateur demos, he rented a studio and recorded three songs with the then sixteen-year-old Kate, helping her land a publishing deal with EMI. Kate Bush later collaborated with a number of other celebrities, perhaps most famously her duet Don't Give Up with Peter Gabriel.
