Nostalgia is Katapult's latest studio album, whose release was delayed by the covid pandemic. It comes out in the year when Olda Říha - the brain, heart and soul of Katapult - celebrates his 75th birthday and 60 years on the scene. He composed the vast majority of the songs himself, with Filip Hrbek and Michal Tříska contributing lyrics. The studio novelty is closed by the "classic" by Suchý and Šlitr Mister Rock and Mister Roll. The album itself can undoubtedly be described as the first record of the new era of Katapult. Olda Riha and his new bandmates - excellent rockers Vaclav Zima (drums) and Karel "Bigman" Kodl (bass guitar, vocals) - they created a work with a raw sound and typical riffs, recorded a musician's statement, that gets under your skin, and at the same time they managed to achieve a contemporary sound and capture all the drive, which will be appreciated not only by loyal fans. Olda Říha himself, quite without exaggeration, refers to the album Nostalgia poetically as his personal "audioauto biography".
Katapult is a legendary Czech rock band that occupies a specific place in the history of Czech pop music. During its nearly fifty-year career, the band with leader Oldřich Říha has withstood all the adversities of fate (banned during the era of socialism, the departure of Dědek Šindelář and Tolja Kohout to rock heaven, etc. ) and it worked more or less continuously. The golden fund of Czech songs includes Až, Sidewalk Blues, Katapult, Midnight Racetrack, and Vojín XY announces his arrival.
