Doors: Soft Parade - CD
Newly remastered recording!
The Soft Parade is the fourth studio album by the American rock group The Doors. It was recorded between 1968 and 1969 and officially released on 25 June 1969.
Upon its release, it was met with criticism from fans and music critics alike, as the band used strings and brass instruments, which didn't quite fit The Doors' sound. After its release, the band returned to their original style of playing on the subsequent albums Morrison Hotel and L.A. Woman.
Interesting fact: this is the first album by The Doors to credit individual songwriters for specific songs.
American rock band The Doors, formed in Los Angeles in 1965, are one of the most important groups in music history. The Doors' existence was cut short in 1971 by the tragic death of singer Jim Morrison, yet their work continues to appeal to new listeners to this day.
