Jodi Ellen Malpas was born in the United Kingdom, where she still lives with her family. She worked full-time in her family’s construction business, with the prospect of one day taking it over, and for a long time resisted the nagging idea of writing a novel. Eventually, however, she found the time and courage, and in October 2012 she self-published the first part of the This Man trilogy as an e-book. Following its phenomenal success, Jodi decided to leave her job and focus on her new, unexpectedly successful career as a writer.
