Iron Maiden: Powerslave (2015 Remastered) - CD
A continuation of the reissue campaign, building on the concept Iron Maiden developed in 2017 in collaboration with the American retail chain Walmart. In this second wave, four albums (Somewhere In Time, Powerslave, No Prayer For The Dying, and Seventh Son Of A Seventh Son) are available individually in their 2015 remastered versions, along with the Somewhere In Time (Collector's) box set. Powerslave is the fifth studio album from the legendary British heavy metal band Iron Maiden, originally released in 1984. The title track, which clocks in at seven minutes, is set in ancient Egypt, a theme reflected in the album's cover art featuring a pyramid and other Egyptian motifs. The longest of the eight tracks is the closing song, Rime Of The Ancient Mariner, which lasts for almost a quarter of an hour. The album was featured in Rolling Stone magazine's list of the 100 Greatest Metal Albums of All Time.
Iron Maiden are one of the most popular representatives of British rock music. In a recent poll held for the Queen's Diamond Jubilee, their album The Number Of The Beast was voted the best British album of the last sixty years. The band's fame is equally stellar in the Czech Republic, where they repeatedly sell out stadiums and every new release storms to the top of the sales charts.
