Maruška and Martin are classmates who fall in love with each other. Maruška, known as Mája, one day confides in Martin about her magical abilities. Unlike in typical fantasy stories, Mája doesn't use magic items or spells to cast magic, but rather the “mere” power of her will.
For example, she can bend time so that a five-minute school test can last ten minutes, bend space like a pancake, slow down a falling branch over an unsuspecting classmate, walk through walls, and turn light into a hot, glowing liquid.
The two classmates, in love and on the cusp of adolescence, embark not only on space adventures (they get close to the core of Europa, fly through a black hole) but also many earthly ones. When was the last time you had a tomato fight or secretly ventured into a castle's alchemy workshop?
