May Bee
"Life is beautiful!" Maya cheered and flew away. Maya the bee no longer has a place in the hive, she is bored. She wants to go out, she wants to fly over the sunny meadow and the park to explore the whole wide world. On his great journey, he encounters creatures, who are nice, strange or weird, such as the kindly goldfinch, the diligent bark beetle or the Ctirad beetle, Others are unpleasant and dangerous. Maya has to decide independently how to behave. They learn to distinguish between good and evil. Nature and other creatures should be treated with care and respect, one's own happiness is not the most important thing and should not become an excuse for recklessness, everyone needs to have friends - these are some of the lessons she took away from her adventure. Maya is a heroine that children can relate to because, like her, they are just getting to know the world. The book has been retold for contemporary readers by Frauke Nahrgang. This story and its characters became the basis for a TV series.
