The debut album Konnichiwa is the culmination of more than three years of the band Mirai's existence. It was recorded in various studios with the help of four different producers. “We were a little worried that the diverse conditions would result in just a compilation of songs. But in the end, the mastering process refined it, and we feel that what we feared has become an added value. Today's world demands variety in sound, and I believe that's exactly what we're bringing,” the band comments on the recording process.
The motivation that led Mirai to record the album was the desire to tell people to do everything as they feel it themselves and to rely primarily on themselves, not on pressure from their surroundings, friends, or parents.
The album includes hits such as Když nemůžeš, tak přidej, Anděl and Cesta z města. Thematically, it touches on escaping stereotypes (Dítě robotí, Cesta z města), love and women (Pojď, zapomenem, Divadlo), leaving youth and its carefree nature behind (Jedu, Rána v mlhách, Od vody), as well as transcendental reflections (Anděl) and the environment (365). The songwriter Pokáč also contributed to the lyrics. The songs were created both in the punk environment of a cellar and in the best Czech and Slovak recording studios.
The band's formation and debut album date back to 2014, when musicians Mirai Navrátil, Šimon Bílý, and Michal Stulík began creating it in a cellar without professional equipment. That's when the first songs were born – Divadlo and the already well-known and popular Dítě robotí.
