New Civil Code

Navigate the new Civil Code! The revolutionary changes in civil law will affect everyone from 1 January 2014. The new series of popular and educational publications comprehensively covering the whole range of issues regulated by the new Civil Code is intended mainly for readers who are not legal experts but need to orient themselves in the new legal regulation. The sixth part of the series is devoted to the issue of obligations arising from wrongful acts - torts. First, we deal with the issue of compensation for pecuniary and non-pecuniary damage and the conditions under which a specific liable person is obliged to compensate for damage as well as special cases of liability for damage. Attention will be paid to questions of the manner and extent of compensation. We deal with cases of abuse and restriction of competition and unfair competition. Within the analysis of obligations for other legal reasons, we will focus mainly on unjust enrichment, we will also mention the issue of uncommitted agency and the use of another's property for the benefit of another.
