The war in Syria has been going on for nine yearwith. Millions of residents had to leave their homes and start again in makeshift campwith. Infrastructure and buildings are destroyed. Children affected by the war have not only lost their homes, but also the opportunity to go to school. That is why in Syria we help children make up for missed years of schooling. We equip and insulate broken schools, distribute school supplies, financially support teachers and train them so that they can provide psychosocial assistance to traumatized children.

Help for children in Syria
We will help hundreds of children back to school
It is not easy for any child who has lost their home and lost school to attend school. A person in need in Syria is repairing a number of destroyed schools, equipping them or setting up training centers in Syrian campwith. Children continue to learn mathematics, Arabic, English and natural sciences and receive free teaching materials so that they can learn at home. Most of the local children have had long-term school breaks, but thanks to the activities of People in Need, they can return to learning. The repair of schools or the environment of educational centers has the effect of improving the motivation of children to learn.

Psychosocial help
In addition to Arabic, English, mathematics and science, teachers trained in People in Need also offer psychosocial support. Most children have experienced extremely traumatic moments and continue to cope with the difficult situation of life, often far from home.
