The eponymous album waves with summer atmosphere and wafts rock sound through the flowering meadow by the Vidnávka river. A distinctive voice, excellent lyrics and rock sound, that's all the Summer Band offers on the new recording, but unlike Jaromír Švejdík's previous projects (Priessnitz, Umakart, Jaromir 99 & The Bombers, Kafka Band) there are more vocals and less guitar solos on the album. It's more of a return to roots and less of a trend. So on the album you can hear Greek bouzouki, najazzla tumpeta or Slovak songs.
The project, which was born during the period of covid bans, gradually grew into a full-fledged band. After the first concerts, the intention to record a whole album was born and despite its title, it will not be songs for one period. "The new songs were written during lockdown and in all kinds of weather. But the atmosphere of the album is positive and sunny within reason. That was our goal," says Jaromír Švejdík.
The album is released on CD and LP.
