Car mechanic Cade Yeager (Mark Wahlberg) is struggling to support himself and his teenage daughter Tessa (Nicola Peltz) by fixing up battered old wrecks. He's desperately short of cash, but that all changes when one broken-down truck turns out to be a Transformer – and not just any Transformer, but the most important one of all: Optimus Prime.
Four years after the events that literally wiped out half of Chicago, all members of the alien race are blacklisted, and elite scientific minds are trying to create terrestrial Transformers to counter similar threats more effectively. But as we know from the past, the road to hell is paved with good intentions, and this case is no different.
Cade isn't too worried about that, though. Yet. As the new human partner of the most famous Transformer, he finds himself not only in the sights of the US government, but also hunted by Optimus's own kind. To top it all off, his daughter has fallen in love, something he, as a father, definitely can't approve of.
Besides Wahlberg in the lead role, the fourth Transformers film brings another major new addition – the Dinobots, mechanical creatures that look like prehistoric reptiles. Welcome to a transformed Jurassic Park.
