While the lemon trees grow
Before the uprising swept Syria, 18-year-old Salama was an ordinary pharmacy student. But now, instead of preparing medicine, she volunteers at a hospital in Homs, hoping to survive her shift so she can return to her pregnant sister-in-law, Layla. However, after exhausting days, an imaginary Khawf, a blood-stained man, waits for her and whispers to her that she must leave. But when she meets the friendly Kenan in the hospital, everything becomes complicated. Should she fulfill the promise she made to her brother and save herself and Layla, or fight for the freedom of Syria?
