Powerful server processor with two cores designed for osmiprocesorové systems. Supports work in 64 bit environment, but beproblémovou ensures compatibility with older 32-bit applications. It is a very stable processor with low heat radiation, even at full load. It is equipped with the new Socket F, which also augmented the number of pins provided support for many modern technologies. Using all eight processors in these special server boards so you have the computing power now sixteen high-performance units, which is sufficient for the operation of virtually any server application.

The main advantages include the ability to address up to 1TB of physical memory, processor core has 16 registers with a width of 64-bits, allowing to process larger volumes of data directly in the registry and is not necessarily so frequent access to memory, significantly increased L2 cache to 1 MB each core, dual channel memory controller integrated directly into the processor, which speeds up operations with memory up to 20% longer instruction pipeline, together with effective forecasting branch and jumps in the program and support for ultra fast HyperTransport bus system, operating at a frequency of 1000 MHz.

Socket F contains 1207 pins and is interesting is that the CPU is now equipped with only the contact patch and spring-loaded pins bears motherboard. This contributes mainly to the lower cost of processors, easier handling and greater reliability of the slot. Moreover, the entire processor in all-metal design, which will translate to better heat dissipation to the heatsink.
