Automatic Tuning
Initial setup is made easy by the All Scan function, which automatically searches for channels based on the inserted decoding card. The user simply selects the menu language and inserts the access card into the reader. The receiver then performs a complete search and sort of the available TV and radio stations. This process eliminates the need to manually enter the frequencies and parameters of individual transponders.
Continuous Programme Updates
The FastScan and Auto FastScan features keep the channel list constantly up-to-date without any user intervention. If a television provider changes broadcast parameters or adds new channels to their lineup, the receiver will automatically detect these changes and update the existing list. This eliminates tedious manual retuning and searching for non-functional programmes.
Recording and Connectivity
Two USB 2.0 ports are used for connecting external storage media, such as flash drives or external hard drives. Users can record selected programmes using the PVR function or use the Timeshift feature to pause and rewind live TV. The integrated media player supports MP3, WMA, and FLAC music files, JPG and PNG images, and various video formats. The rear panel offers a wide range of interfaces for connecting to other electronics. Video output is provided by an HDMI interface, while an analogue audio output is available for older televisions. An RJ45 Ethernet port is used for connecting to a home network, and network functions can also be operated wirelessly by purchasing a compatible USB Wi-Fi adapter. The S/PDIF optical output transmits digital audio to a home cinema system.
Memory and Control
The hardware foundation consists of 16MB of flash memory and 256MB of RAM. This configuration can store up to 20,000 TV and radio channels, 200 satellites, and 8,000 transponders in its memory. The stable software supports a seven-day electronic programme guide (EPG), parental lock, creation of favourite programme groups, and channel editing, including locking, deleting, or moving them. On the front panel, there is a 7-segment LED display that shows the current time in standby mode or the channel number during operation. An internal power supply simplifies connection to the mains without the need for an external adapter.
