Canon EOS RP je ideální fotoaparát pro ty, co chtějí přejít z APS-C čipu na fullframe. Fotoaparát dobře padne do ruky a má intuitivní ovládání. Oproti klasickým zrcadlovkám se stále jedná o menší přístroj, což ocení cestovatelé i běžní fotografové. Kvalita obrazu je na velmi dobré úrovni, stejně jako přesnost a rychlost autofokusu.
Fotoaparát je primárně určen pro náročnější začátečníky či amatéry, s tím že nabízí dobrý poměr cena vs. výkon. Některé pokročilé funkce zde chybí a profesionálové tak spíše sáhnou po vyšší radě EOS R.
