This is just another name for a battery reservoir that provides power for all devices that need electricity. The EATON UPS 5P 1550i Gen2 UPS battery backup uses the Line interactive design approach. Off-line is the simplest form if the electricity is interrupted, since it switches power to the UPS unit itself. The line interactive UPS also adds voltage regulation to prevent damage from electrical surges from the grid.

It is therefore crucial to determine the energy consumption of the connected appliances and ideally to add some spare power left.
