If you're serious about playing games or working with maximum efficiency on a PC, then the new 11th generation Intel Core Rocket Lake processors are just for you. This 8-core Intel Core i7-11700 Rocket Lake CPU, with a working frequency from 2.5 to 4.9 GHz, fits into the LGA 1200 socket, ideally with the Intel 500 series chipset. However, you can also use older Intel Q470, Z490 and H470 series boards.
11th generation Intel Core processor
Intel Rocket Lake processors feature the most significant change in the field of microarchitecture we have seen in recent years. The last refresh saw Intel using Skylake-derived Comet Lake cores—now we have all-new Rocket Lake cores based on Cypress Cove microarchitecture. Technologically, these are 10nm chips from Ice Lake processors with Sunny Cove cores, backported to Intel's 14nm process node. This allows you to enjoy higher operating frequencies on the Intel Core i7-11700 Rocket Lake processor—even when dealing with heavy workloads.
PCIe 4.0 for fast drives and GPUs
The Intel Rocket Lake platform delivers support for PCIe 4.0 with 20 PCIe lanes, a new memory controller, more powerful IGP and hardware support for the upcoming AV1 video codec. And what about the performance of the Intel Core i7-11700 Rocket Lake processor? You'll be delighted with a double-digit increase in IPC (instructions per cycle).
Built-in graphics card
With 16 threads, you have no fears about using the Intel Core i7-11700 Rocket Lake processor at full performance. An integrated Intel UHD Graphics 750 graphics card offers support for 4K resolutions up to 5120×3200 @ 60Hz for DisplayPort and 4096×2160 @ 60Hz for HDMI.

Generally, the higher the number, the more powerful the processor. For an office PC, a basic processor series will be more than sufficient, but for more challenging work and gaming you will require a more advanced processor.

One of the main parameters of the processor, indicating the number of instructions that the processor can execute in 1 s. The higher frequency, the better working efficiency of the processor.
The supported memory type indicates which operating memory the processor can work with without problems. In practice, this primarily means the generation of modules - the most common today are DDR4 and the more modern DDR5. Each processor has precise limits, so if you try to insert a different type, the computer won't find the memory at all and won't start up.
The maximum number of channels expresses how many separate paths the processor can divide the communication with the RAM into. Most common home computers operate with two channels, so it is ideal to install two identical memory modules to double the speed. If the processor offers a dual-channel connection, it pays to always fit memory in pairs; otherwise, unused channels remain "empty" and performance is reduced.
The same applies as with CPU frequency. The higher the frequency, the more capably the integrated graphics card can render more data and is more powerful.
Generally speaking, the newer the technology, the more powerful processor, more fuel efficient and offers more possibilities for use. Currently, the best selling is the 22nm technology, however there...

LP
