- Innovative design with RAID for greater reliability
- USB 3.0 for compatibility with PC and Mac
- USB 3.1 for faster data transfer speeds

A storage device with high data throughput
The LaCie 2big combines breakthrough ThunderBolt 3 technology with maximum throughput of up to 40Gbps and a USB 3.1 interface for the best speed when connecting to any newer PC or Mac. This also provides for maximum performance and incredible data transmission speed that can achieve up to 440MB per second, which makes the device perfect for editing and displaying 4K video and performing other data-intensive processes. In addition, the front of the device comes with a number of slots for SD or CF cards.
RAID for data storage speed and security
With USB 3.0, 3.1, USB C-3 and Thunderbolt interfaces, the LaCie 2big can easily connect to every standard PC. The number of RAID modes available enables you to set the product exactly to your needs. Changing the RAID mode is amazingly simple. For maximising speed and capacity, you can leave the device in RAID 0 mode.
Connect up to 5 LaCie 2big devices
Thunderbolt 3 supports chaining up to six devices by means of a single cable. You can connect up to 5 LaCie 2big storage devices and one 4K screen. Thunderbolt 3 is backward compatible with previous Thunderbolt versions and the second USB-C connector can be reduced to a normal USB 3.0/2.0.
Advanced LaCie 2big storage cooling system
The LaCie 2big has an outstanding cooling system, which ensures long-term reliability that effectively prevents overheating. The ultra-quiet fan together with the cooling holes efficiently drains heat from the internal parts, thereby increasing the service life of the device. In addition, the aluminium casing dissipates heat better than plastic.
Automatic backup software
The LaCie comes with several applications for monitoring drives and preventing unauthorised access, as well as for providing you with easy backup of your data.
Password storage protection
The LaCie Private-Public application ensures that your files remain completely confidential. In addition, the device supports Kensington locks.
Energy savings
On the front of the drive, you'll find a button with which you will be able to use to turn off and turn on the device to save energy.
