The Marantz SA-14S1 is not only a CD / SACD media player, but can also act as an external D / A converter. This whole new model feeds the oversized toroidal transformer and the entire power supply section is a source of extraordinary high current. This is a prerequisite for a good platform capable of delivering excellent sound quality. The player is equipped with an optical and coaxial digital input and also a USB-B for direct PC / Mac connection. This means that it offers direct lossless, audio streaming even in HD using output HDAM-SA2 modules. For this reason, this product also includes a new ground /signal isolator technology that virtually eliminates all the extra PC noise. The player can work as a sound card on your computer, and USB-B works in asynchronous mode to handle not only 192 kHz / 24 bit but also DSD 2.8 MHz and 5.6 MHz for the most versatile use.

In order to play as wide a range of discs as possible, it uses the CS4398 converter, which offers up to 192 kHz / 24 bits along with DSD signal decoding. The device supports a wide range of digital music discs and formats such as CDs and Super Audio CDs, as well as linear PCM, AAC, MP3, and WAV. With the rear USB input, it can connect PC / Mac and enjoy listening to high definition DSD 2.8 to 5.6 MHz music.
