In the midst of one of Norfolk' s most brutal winters, a frozen body is found on the legendary Lyng Stone. And with Robert Kett injured and off duty, the case falls to Detectives Savage and Porter, who soon realize that the young man was not just killed. He was sacrificed.
And he is not alone. Within a single week, the equally mutilated body of another dead man is found on one of the ancient Norfolk stones. Someone is performing a ritual, and if Savage and Porter can' t stop it in time, many more people will die.
The sixth installment of the Chief Inspector Kett series introduces Savage and Porter as you' ve never seen them before, investigating one of the most brutal cases they' ve ever faced - a case so horrific that even Kett can' t escape it.
