Dark Souls III is the next chapter in the series that has unleashed true madness. Prepare to re-enter a hostile world where even the smallest mistake is punished with certain death. This game add-on requires the full Dark Souls III game.
"The Ringed City" is the DLC for DARK SOULS III – winner of the best RPG of the year award. Begin your journey to the end of the world to find the Ringed City and face new bosses and monsters.
The locations will once again be dark and full of despair, just like the overall atmosphere.
The gameplay will stay true to the series' roots—which means plenty of diverse equipment, as well as magic to help you against stronger creatures.
Minions of darkness lust for your death
From the depths of misty caves, bloodthirsty monsters of inhuman shapes will rush out at you. As the protagonist, you will have to hack your way through dozens of enemies and complete a plethora of complex quests. You will be tested in every way on your path to save the world from a deadly apocalypse.
The third instalment is once again being developed under the patronage of the father of the series himself, Hidetaka Miyazaki, so you can look forward to a true Dark Souls experience with all the trimmings. This brings with it a multitude of deaths and treasures, but also fine-tuned game mechanics, where a path forward can unexpectedly open up, or a brutally difficult monster can stand in your way.
Fight with foresight
You will now be able to use stances—combat postures, or special abilities that will allow you to inflict much more fatal wounds on your enemies. The damage you deal will not only depend on the equipment you find, but on your overall fighting style, which will be useful in more than one difficult situation.
Detailed graphics create a breathtaking and properly dark fantasy world, where you'll feel every swing of your weapon.
At times you'll also enjoy some gothic scenery.
As you traverse the world, you will encounter a variety of monsters, most of whom will try to kill you on your quest to save the innocent. It's therefore important to always adapt your combat strategy to new threats, and some of the monsters can even transition through several different phases during a single fight. Dark Souls III thus remains a thrilling experience where you never know what will happen next.
