Horace would be sent as a special messenger to the emperor's residence. His war mission had begun months ago, and Horace should have been back long ago, but he had not yet arrived and had not sent a single message about his situation. Horace is very capable and can take care of himself, but his friends still can't help worrying about his safety. Horace, however, is more involved in internal politics than they would expect and now he and Will must face a highly trained sect of sandzis. Evanlyn and Alyss stop their petty disputes and together they go to ask for help for the Emperor from the fierce warriors of the mountains to the north.
John Flanagan
The Australian writer first worked as an advertising copywriter and later as a freelance editor. He also wrote scripts for television comedies. He originally created his own fantasy world, which readers all over the world enter, for his son, whom he wanted to introduce to reading in a fun way. Today he is one of Australia's most prolific novelists and his highly successful works include the fantasy series The Ranger's Apprentice.
Matthew Ruml
Acting first appealed to Matúš Ruml as a child, at the Children's Theatre Studio. He began performing on stage in child roles alongside acclaimed actors. Today he is a member of the ensemble of the Municipal Theatre in Mladá Boleslav and a guest at Prague's Theatre Na prádle and Švandovo Theatre. He has also portrayed several television characters, for example in the film The Princess and the Scribe and in the popular series Comeback. For his musical and dramatic art he received the Zuzana Navarová Award and the Thalia Award for Young Dramatist.
