11 short stories about life
Helena had once fled to the woods for solitude and now returned to the city, where she claimed she would never set foot again, and Petra had also left for the countryside in search of a new life. What will Pavla have to do to finally be accepted by her neighbours in the village?
The dream of a cosy village where people live in harmony with the landscape and animals sometimes brings a painful bump into reality. Even a house in a secluded place can be a romantic retreat for one person and a burden and a memory for another. And from what shame is the artist Pecháček fleeing from the village back to the city?
Eleven popular authors tell in their short stories about the search for home in the countryside and in the city, about escapes in pursuit of dreams and ideals or escapes from their own shadows and life's vicissitudes - in short, about the difficult journey towards a better life, whether it is sought by urban heroes in the idealized countryside or by villagers in the anonymity of the cities.
