How I tracked the plane

This book is just like the world. It’s both true and false. It’s about everything, and yet it’s about one thing. It's encyclopaedically inaccurate and damn correct. It’s about everyday life and adventure. It’s about girls, drugs, food and yoga. About the love of travelling and love found while travelling. About money, success, fame, and both their beauty and transience. It's primitive and philosophical. It's truly bad... and perfect at the same time. It's a true story of incredible experiences on a journey around the world.

I had the hardest year of my life behind me. I got divorced, lost a lot of money, and nothing was going my way. All my previous successes just seemed like a fluke. I'd hit rock bottom. What now? Jump in front of a train? That was an option. But if I was going to run away from my problems, I was going to do it properly! I signed the divorce papers, quit my job, and packed all my belongings into a few boxes. With a single suitcase, I set off on a journey where every event would change my course. Where do you end up when you hitchhike in a shirt and tie? Why do millionaires in San Francisco live in studio flats? Why are poor people the most generous? And what is this world really all about?

Primitively intellectual. Truthfully false. Factually fictitious. Qualitatively poor. Uncommonly common. Philanthropically selfish. Bastardly correct. Simply perfectly imperfect, just like all of us.

You wouldn't believe it's a true story…
