In the event of an unexpected event
An elegant novel set in the 1950s in a small American town where mysterious plane crashes occur.
In this novel, writer Judy Blume revisits her own youth in her memoir. In 1952, in the town of Elizabeth, New Jersey, three planes crash in three months. Is that a coincidence? Or a communist conspiracy? Could it be aliens? How are the residents of a small town coping? Gripping events and sympathetically drawn characters, along with a perfectly evoked 1950s aesthetic, combine to create an elegant novel based on a true story.
Judy Blume
Judy Blume can be described as an American writer of realistic children's and teenage novels. His work focuses mainly on taboo topics, like racism, menstruation, Divorce, Bullying, Masturbation, sexuality and family problems. These true novels may hide shocking stories, but Judy Blume herself says they are just the books to get young people through the teenage years.
Her books are often discussed and some are banned, which is why the American Library Association named her one of the most provocative authors of the 21st century. Even so, it has sold more than 82 million copies, which have been translated into 32 languages. Now her work is being released on another platform, as an audiobook.
Terezie Tabery
Terezie Taberyová's family probably inherits talent and a beautiful voice. Her younger sister Viktoria and her mother Zuzana both found careers in dubbing, and Terezie too. Her voice can be heard in the film Coraline and the World Beyond the Mysterious Door, Charlotte's Web or in the well-known American TV series Super Gossip.
