How the bass came to heaven

Maria Kubátová' s charming stories are always set in her favorite Krkonoše region and the characters speak in the local dialect. And we offer you one of these stories. The play How the Bass Came to Heaven tells the story of a band led by bandleader Tuláček, who, thanks to their playing skills, reaches heaven, but prefers an ordinary life on earth. In Jiří Horčička' s production from 1956, you will hear, among others, actors Stanislav Neumann, Vladimir Brabec, Ljuba Skořepová, Jaroslava Vacková, Julia Charvátová, František Filipovský and František Kovářík. The play was filmed in 1956.
