Troll Hunter - DVD
Troll Hunter - DVD
Although the rest of the world knows trolls primarily as fantasy figures or cute little elves with big bellies and slicked-back hair, in Norway they are characters of national folklore, appearing in stories that parents read to their children at bedtime.
They have their own elaborate mythology and exist in various forms, from benevolent creatures to gigantic bloodthirsty monsters. But what if the trolls are really alive and the Norwegian government is hiding their existence?
A team of three students trace bizarre bear attacks in the mountains and forests of Norway and meet a strange man whose battered jeep with a smelly caravan is always near a similar incident. Man, who's considered a poacher in the neighborhood, claims about himself, that he's a troll hunter, and allow the staff, to accompany him.
This ingeniously constructed mystifying pseudo-documentary focuses not only on the trolls themselves, but also on the question of how the mythical Greeks fighting monsters would live today.
