Alison Belsham
Alison Belsham was born in Hampshire in the United Kingdom and now lives and works in Edinburgh. She started writing because she wanted to become a screenwriter. She then prioritised her family in her personal life for a time, only to return to the literary scene with even greater vigour. In 2016, she won first place in the best pitch competition at the Bloody Scotland Crime Writing Festival. When she published her novel, The Tattooist, in 2018, it immediately became an international blockbuster and the start of a new series set in the mysterious world of master tattoo artists. The sequel, Her Last Breath, followed a year later, and The Embalmer is the third book in the series.
