The Stories of Sherlock Holmes B1/B2
The year was 1886 when Sir Arthur Conan Doyle wrote the first story about Sherlock Holmes. The short story was published the following year and since then, the fan base of the brilliant detective with remarkable abilities has grown and continues to grow to this day. The character of the most famous detective of all time is very interesting. His greatest asset is undoubtedly his above-average intelligence, which makes him a true genius. In addition, he has a unique gift – he masters the deductive method, which helps him solve even the most complex cases. And it is precisely these cases that are perhaps his only way to ward off the boredom that often troubles him. This publication offers four Sherlock Holmes stories, which are intended for lower-intermediate students of English. Thanks to them, readers will not only get to know the cases in which the famous detective displays his brilliant logical thinking but will also practise their English. The mirrored Slovak translation allows them to check whether they have understood the foreign-language text correctly. At the end of the book, there is interesting information about Sherlock Holmes.
